His Mercy Endureth Forever

Some often think that whatever they have done is too much to be forgiven, I am here to happily prove you wrong. The bible repeats a phrase over, and over, and over again many times, “his mercy endureth for ever”.

1 Chronicles 16:34 “O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever”.

Psalm 100:5 “For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations”. Read more

How to set your Focus

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.  Matthew 6:33

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.  My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1-2

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Matthew 11:28-29

What do these verses have in common?  The focus is on Jesus.  When we have our focus set on Jesus, the world around us may be in chaos, but our spirit won’t be.  We know that He is in control, and for me, that means everything will be okay. Read more

The Lord equips us for where He needs us. He trains us up for the perfect moment.

David was just a boy tending his father’s sheep when he had to deal with a bear and a lion. This ended up being training for facing a giant, Goliath. Killing the bear and lion grew David’s faith for this moment. He knew God would be with him. Read more

What I am Thankful For

Every day is a day to be thankful, but since today is Thanksgiving, I want to talk about something that is dear to me.  My children.

I have been blessed with two wonderful daughters.  Of course like most toddlers they don’t listen about half the time, but they are so sweet and thoughtful of each other and others.  When they say “please” and “thank you” it is some of the cutest manners you have ever heard! They have brought so much joy into our lives! Read more

I haven’t always put my trust in Jesus

There have been times where I have not trusted in Jesus.  It’s hard not having control over something that is so dear to your heart.

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding” Proverbs 3:5.

During my second pregnancy I worried, A LOT. This pregnancy was as normal as could be, but because I lost my first child I was constantly scared and filled with worry.  Any little thing that I thought might be happening brought so many “what ifs” into my mind. Read more
